Have you started your holiday shopping yet? Don’t hate me, but I finished a few weeks ago. However, I have THE PERFECT holiday gift that I now want to buy for all my family and friends (and more for myself!). I just started using Radha’s Essential Oil Diffuser with their essential oil assortment, which comes with 6 therapeutic grade oils and oh. my. gosh. I am in heaven. Anyone who knows me knows that I am very particular about smells. People always comment that I smell good, and I’m slightly obsessed with having my home and classroom smell nice, too. It’s kind of my thing.

Last year after a massage, I became fixated with the glorious, calming smell of the spa. While I love my apple or pine plug-in scents, nothing comes close to the aroma of a spa. Plus I read that the plug-ins actually aren’t very healthy for you, so the idea of filling my home with essential oils appealed to me. I never achieved the degree of scent I wanted from the reed diffusers; they emitted smells as you walked by them, but that’s about it. Well, my friends, I’m pleased to share that my quest to bring the spa home is over.

Perfect Holiday Gift: Essential Oil Diffuser

Essential oil diffuser

The diffuser is like a mini humidifer that releases a cool, scented mist that fills the whole room. All you have to do is fill it with water, drop anywhere between 5-10 drops of oils, plug it in, and enjoy. It’s cool because you can also put it on a mood light setting, which can act as a fun night light. It’s small and portable, so you can take it from room to room, to the office, really anywhere with an outlet; plus, it comes with an extra long cord, which is convenient. You can choose intermittent or continuous mist, and the diffuser will automatically turn off when it’s out of water.

Assorted Essential Oils

Sampler kit includes the following scents: Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lemongrass, Sweet Orange. I love to use lavender while I take a steamy shower by candlelight – trust me, it totally ups your shower game. It may be a coincidence, but after running it in my daughter’s room last night, she slept 8 hours, which hasn’t happened in months. My husband’s favorite is lemongrass; this is a great fresh scent for any and all rooms of your home. You can feel good about using these oils around your family and children because there are no additives or fillers.

Uses: I love that I can use my oils for more than the aromatherapy. Some ideas to use oils include for a massage (recruit your significant other or friend for this!), oil burner, inhalation, perfume, to make custom blends, for your spa or to create a spa-like setting, for home care, and cleaning products.

Benefits

While my favorite feature is the obviously deliciously calming scent, there are other benefits.

  • keeps room humid
  • helps prevent and treat colds and congestion
  • great next to your bed or child’s room
  • natural, healthy way to make your space smell lovely
  • cost effective; you only put 5-10 drops of oil in the mister. I spend $6-8 on 3 plug-ins that last between 2-4 weeks.

Who to buy for

The best part about this gift is that it’s the PERFECT gift for anyone you love. Men, women, teens, in-laws – they will all love you for getting the gift they didn’t know they needed.

  • parents
  • significant other
  • friends
  • people who appreciate smelling good
  • someone you want to hint that they need to smell good
  • teachers
  • co-workers
  • yourself (bedroom, family room, kids’ room, the office, bathroom)
  • grandparents
  • in-laws
  • mail carrier
  • someone who likes cool, changing lights
